Features

In order for beer to be defined as gluten free and to be safely consumed by people with celiac disease, it must have, according to EC Regulation 41/2009, a gluten content of less than 20ppm.


The production process of gluten-free beer is very similar to that of traditional beer, but with a substantial difference: in fact, this type of beer requires the use of special enzymes that go to break down the proteins of the grains used, so that the beer is gluten-free.

Beers considered suitable, following scrupulous controls, are included in the AIC (Italian Celiac Disease Association) handbook and obtain
on the label the gluten-free product symbol: the crossed-out ear of corn.
