Orange salad: recipe tips
- To avoid the bitter taste of the white part, peel the oranges well, removing the albedo completely.
- Use juicy, sweet oranges, such as Sicilian blood oranges, for more intense flavor.
- To enrich the salad, you can stimulate your creativity: add ingredients such as thinly sliced fennel, slivered almonds or even wild fennel.
- Arrange the orange slices decoratively on a serving platter and add the other ingredients for an eye-catching visual effect.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil: The main value of the dish
Extra virgin olive oil is a key ingredient in orange salad, giving the dish a rich flavor and unmistakable aroma. Here's how best to use it:
- Dressing: A drizzle of EVO oil enhances the sweetness of the oranges and the freshness of the other ingredients, creating a perfect balance of flavors.
- Emulsion: Mixed with orange juice, the oil creates a natural vinaigrette that envelops the ingredients, enhancing their flavor without overpowering it.
- Finish: A final touch of raw oil before serving lends luster and an enveloping aroma, making the salad even more inviting.
For this recipe, the fruity Farchioni Extra Virgin Olive Oil is ideal. Its delicate flavor profile enhances the sweetness of the oranges without covering their flavor, offering a perfect balance of fruitiness and smoothness.
The use of a high-quality oil such as fruity Farchioni is essential to achieve an orange salad with an authentic and refined taste.
