Montefalco DOC Grechetto White Wine

Taste guide

This white wine presents itself to the eye with an intense straw yellow color, tending to golden. On the nose, it is distinguished by notes of yellow peach, citrus and broom flowers, thus creating a refined and pleasant aromatic bouquet. The taste reveals perfectly balanced freshness and sapidity, while maintaining a smoothness that enhances its pleasantness and drinkability. Ideal for those looking for a wine with character, but who do not want to give up lightness.

The sommelier's advice

This white wine is ideal paired with truffle pasta dishes, spiced chicken and baked fish, as it enhances the rich and complex flavors of each dish. For a perfect tasting, it is recommended to be served at a temperature of 12-14°C, to keep its characteristic freshness and smoothness intact.

Recipe and processing

Grechetto grapes are selected and harvested during the early morning hours. Vinification is carried out through soft pressing of the grapes and static decantation for 24 hours, followed by inoculation of selected yeasts. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel, with 10 percent of the must also maturing in barriques to add complexity. Aging continues in steel and in the bottle to give the wine elegance and finesse.
