Montefalco Rosso Riserva DOCG Wine

Taste guide

Ruby red in color with garnet highlights, this wine is distinguished by an intense aroma of ripe fruit, enriched by a delicate balsamic note and a toasty finish. On the palate it is a full-bodied wine with good roundness and a velvety and elegant taste.

The sommelier's advice

We recommend serving this wine at a temperature of 18°C, uncorking the bottle early to allow the wine to best express its aromas. Perfect paired with structured first courses, pork or game meats, enhancing the richness of the flavors and complexity of the dish.

Recipe and processing

A blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and another variety indigenous to Montefalco, this wine is made by vinification in steel with selected yeasts, followed by alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, also in steel. Aging lasts 30 months, 14 of which in barrique and 3 in bottle, for a wine with a rich, harmonious and structured character.
